Turner Classic Movies to Pay Tribute to Elvis Presley
in Commemoration of 30th Anniversary of His Death
What: As part of its annual Summer Under the Stars festival, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will honor the King of Rock n' Roll with a 24-hour marathon of films set to air Thursday, Aug. 16, beginning at 6 a.m. (ET). That day marks the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's passing, and TCM will get things all shook up with movies and specials starring the legendary actor and musician. The line-up features an array of films, including his breakout performance in Jailhouse Rock (1957) and films co-staring Nancy Sinatra, Ann-Margret, Hope Lange, Tuesday Weld and Shelley Fabares.
